Fun with apertures

A small aperture creates this starburst effect, so i spent a little time playing with it last week. Now the trick is to not have the starburst be the focus but a secondary part of the image.

  1. Ooooh. Nice. Is that a raw photo, or did you edit it? I'm trying to experiment myself...

  2. That's a raw photo. I just put the aperture setting very high and turned the shutter speed up. When I had the shutter speed too slow the effect was lost. I just adjusted it until I found combos that work! (this was an f-stop of 36 and shutter speed of 1/1000)
